شلل الدماغ

 

الشلل الدماغي يتضمن مجموعة من الحالات المرضية الحركية التي لا تتدهور وغير المعدية والتي

تسبب عجز جسدي أثناء نمو الإنسان، وذلك في أجزاء مختلفة من الجسم مرتبطة بأداء الوظائف الحركية.

وينشأ الشلل الدماغي نتيجة للتلف الذي يحدث لمراكز التحكم في الحركة داخل الدماغ الذي لا يزال في مرحلة النمو،

ويمكن أن يحدث ذلك أثناء الحمل أو أثناء الولادة أو بعد الولادة وحتى العام الثالث من عمر الطفل تقريبًا.

ويؤدي الشلل الدماغي إلى مجموعة من الاضطرابات المستديمة في تطور حركة الجسم ووضعه مما يسبب عجزاً في النشاط،

ويرجع ذلك إلى اضطرابات تعرض لها دماغ الجنين قبل أن يخرج إلى الدنيا أو دماغ الطفل الصغير وهو في سنوات عمره الأولى.

وعادةً ما يصاحب اضطرابات الحركة

التي تحدث لمريض الشلل الدماغي اضطرابات في الإحساس والإدراك الحسي والإدراك المعرفي والتواصل والسلوك.

كذلك، يصاحب هذه الاضطرابات مرض الصرع وبعض المشكلات العضلية الهيكلية الثانوية.

ولا يوجد علاج معروف لأي نوع من الأنواع المتعددة للشلل الدماغي أو لأنواعه الفرعية.
